DRESS SAFELY
Dress Safely is a project created to inform consumers about Benetton’s activities relating to product quality and safety, with particular attention to children’s clothing. Today, the Dress Safely hangtag appears on Undercolors of Benetton products and United Colors of Benetton children’s collections.
Chemical safety
From the selection of raw materials to the finished product, United Colors of Benetton garments are subject to requirements and checks designed to verify compliance with the safety parameters applicable to textile products. Careful management of chemicals in production processes also helps reduce their release into the environment.
Component safety
As part of the Dres Safely project, United Colors of Benetton carries out specific checks on components of children’s products, such as buttons, sequins, buttonholes, drawstrings and ties, to verify compliance with applicable safety requirements and reduce the risks of choking or entrapment.

Testing and checks
United Colors of Benetton products undergo chemical testing and specific checks based on the materials used and their characteristics. Analyses are carried out at different stages of the production chain by qualified independent laboratories.
Traceability
United Colors of Benetton garments are identified through systems that allow information about the materials used and the main stages of the production process to be traced.
Continuous improvement
Dress Safely evolves over time through updates to control procedures and dialogue with consumers, suppliers and partners. The aim is to promote continuous improvement in the standards adopted for product quality and safety.
